What differentiates one skilled nursing & rehabilitation center from another? The answer is... the people who work and reside there! The people set the tone, the atmosphere, and the expectations. At The Laurels of Walden Park, we take great pride in ensuring that everyone feels like part of our family and that they are treated as special "guests" in our home.

The Laurels of Walden Park employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. From the moment you walk through the front doors, the warmth and caring of the staff will begin to gain your trust and confidence, as they strive to exceed your expectations.

Unlike other facilities that use "contracted" staff members, each member of the team at The Laurels of Walden Park is directly employed, not "contracted". Each Team Member takes great pride in portraying "The Laurel Way of Caring", as they strive for excellence in providing only the highest standard of care and services to every guest, and to every family member and visitor. James Mason, LNHA

Administrator

James Mason joined The Laurels of Walden Park as administrator in March 2022.

James has worked in the long-term care industry for over seven years and most recently held the position of regional director of operations for Garden Healthcare.

Cassie Hauber, LNHA

Assistant Administrator

Cassie joined The Laurels of Walden Park as assistant administrator in November 2021. She previously served as the administrator at The Laurels of Mt. Vernon in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

Cassie is a graduate of Ohio University. She majored in health services administration, with a focus on long term care administration and a certificate in gerontology.

Cassie began her career in long term care as adminissions coordinator at The Laurels of Athens in Athens, Ohio. After three years, she relocated to Columbus to become a director of marketing and admissions for a local skilled nursing facility and assisted living. In 2017, Cassie became a licensed nursing home administrator and has been active ever since.

Julie Leidel, BS

Director of Rehabilitation Services

Julie Leidel has been a member of the Laurel family for nearly 15 years. She joined the team at The Laurels of Walden Park in 2020 as director of rehabilitation services after serving in the same position at the former Laurels of Toledo. In total, Julie has nearly 30 years of experience in management of skilled rehabilitation programs, including an opportunity to be a manager of mulitple facilities in northwest Ohio.

Julie graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor's Degree in science and kinesiology. She is a credentialed Clinical Instructor and is an active Advisory Board Member for Professional Skills Institute, a college in Toledo, for the PTA program. Julie enjoys being a clinical instructor and helping students make their way into the profession. 

In 2006, Julie was the Prestigious Award Winner for “Director of Rehabilitation of the Year” for the Great Lakes Region. She currently serves on the RSD Council for Laurel Health Care Company and enjoys collaborating with her peers on program development.

Julie is excited to be in the Columbus area where she can bring her clinical experience in sub-acute rehab and management to enhance programming.

Ashley Osborne

Director of Marketing

Ashley joined The Laurels of Walden Park as director of marketing in 2021. Ashley grew up in skilled nursing facilities -- during school breaks and on weekends, she would join her mom on the job and volunteer with activities and dietary. Helping the elderly has always been a passion of Ashley's, and she made the decision to follow in her mother's footsteps when choosing a career. 

Ashley has an associate's degree in healthcare administration and has specialized in customer satisfaction in her past professional experience. In her role as DOM at The Laurels, she loves planning events and marketing activities for the guests and local community. 

She enjoys spending time with her son, visiting local parks, boat riding on lakes, and reading books in her spare time.
